Compare reports🔗

The compare reports feature displays a side-by-side comparison of the active (most recent) report and a selected reference report. The reference report can be any previous version generated using the same slot.

By comparing the active and past reports, you can easily identify changes in the reported cryptography over time. The comparison includes:

• The number of passed and failed instances.
• The number of passed and failed issues.
• Any changes in inventory.

The change in instances and issues between the two reports are shown in 2 pie charts:

• Issues - the differences in total issue counts and breakdown by severity level.
• Instances - the differences in total out-of-policy instance counts and breakdown by severity level.

The Inventory Summary table shows any change in inventory between the two reports:

• Type - inventory category (asymmetric algorithms, hash functions, etc.) Select any row to see the inventory breakdown.
• Before - inventory count in the reference report.
• Now - inventory count in the latest report.
• Change - difference between the two reports, shown as both a percentage and a value.

To use the compare reports feature:

1. Log in to the AQtive Guard Web Interface, then select Projects from the menu bar.
2. Locate a project that contains the reports you want to compare. You may need to:
   • Use the filters at the top of the table to narrow your view.
   • Request access to a specific project if it’s not initially visible.
3. Select the project, then navigate to the Reports tab.
4. Select the report you wish to view, then select the Compare tab. The active report is shown on the left side of the panel.
5. On the right side of the panel, use the Version dropdown to select a past report for comparison.

The Issues pie chart, Instances pie chart, and Inventory Summary table will be generated once the comparison is complete.
